  5. !!!    About 10% of the e-mail I receive has a bogus return address---I try 
  6. !!!    to reply to you and a few hours or days later I get a message from the 
  7. !!!    mail system that my mail could not be delivered.
  8. !!!    This is very frustrating to me and a waste of your and my time. 
  9. !!!    I have NEVER just ignored mail sent to me about Sparkle. If I don't 
  10. !!!    reply to you, it's because you sent me mail with a garbage return address.
  11. !!!    Check out your mail system and write to me again when it works properly.

  15. Ñ This software is free. I ask only that if you are looking for a 
  16.     programmer  for MPEG/video work on macs, please consider hiring me.

  18. Ñ The README 2nd file contains a number of details about the program. 
  19.     Please look there for an answer before sending me a question. Its silly 
  20.     for you to have to wait a few days and for me to have to waste time 
  21.     answering when the answer is already there.
  22. Ñ If you have a bug report, or think I really need to add a feature, 
  23.     please mail me. In the past various people have complained about bugs 
  24.     with posts to Usenet groups or electronic magazines. This may make you 
  25.     feel better, but it won't fixing the problem. Mailing me with the problem 
  26.     may well get it fixed in a day or two.
  27. Ñ The details of encoding MPEGs are not obvious if you don't understand 
  28.     how MPEGs work. For now, I have a complex dialog box you must fill in. If 
  29.     you don't understand it, use the defaults it suggests, or reading the 
  30.     relevant section in the README 2nd file.
  31. Ñ If you upgrading from a previous version of Sparkle you may want to 
  32.     rebuild your desktop to see the icon provided for the Sparkle 
  33.     Preferences file.
  34. Ñ If you don't like the quality of the MPEG display, go to the 
  35.     Preferences menu under the Edit menu and change the settings. To see 
  36.     what the various settings do, look in the README 2nd file.
